Actually, the largest percentage of my summer fish in the 80's and 90's used to come from the boat while the surf guys starved. The fish always seemed to be just beyond a good cast from shore. Every once in a while you could connect fom shore, but it was mainly from the boat for me. Also consider I was out selling fish too, so the boat just made more sense from a numbers standpoint. |

seriously, fish were all WELL within shore casting distance, all on eels at night. I think its just the logistics that the fish are moving out of the bay now, there are only 2 ways to go, left or right.......
