I actually like July and early August fishing in the Canal.
May, and early June, anyone who could hit the water with a surface plug could get into 40" and up bass.
Now, you have to work for them
I like trying to figure it out, what stage of the tide, what location. I've been doing OK. I'd probably be doing better if I started to toss snakes again, but I like the challenge of fooling them on rubber.
