Sometime when you've got nothing to do, sit at a boat ramp on a busy weekend day and watch the show. People line up their lawn chairs in Plymouth and just hang out at the top of the ramp for the day.
It is amazing what you see. Half the people take 20-30 mins to launch. The boats start stacking up like the airport. On wide ramps we'll pull down in the middle between the ramps, one guy in the truck,one in the boat, on or off in 2 mins, waving buh bye to lineup needing a dock.
