Some years back I stumbled upon an even more intense blitz than that on Cleveland's Ledge of all places. It was blowing SW about 15+ KTs and you could still see the mass of white water about a mile away. Got up next to them and they were on each others backs, 1/2 out of the water. The guy with me hooked up instantly. I made a show of taking my time getting a flyrod out and ready.....sure of success....and they disappeared before I could make a cast.
