Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers.

My mother was an exceptionally capable person. She was the matriarch of the family to the extent that when the "Godfather" movie came out everyone started calling her "The Godmother". Nobody made a move without consulting with her first. She helped everyone in her family with the most serious issues of life.

She was a nurse and was excellent at many crafts. She was so expert at Crocheting , Knitting , and Tatting that she taught classes in all of them for over a decade for free at the church and Senior Center. Lots of the students had fumble fingers so on the last day she would finish up their projects for them like magic in a few minutes and they went home with something beautiful to brag about how they made it "themselves".

She made many hierloom quality things but one of the most impressive was when I once saw her take a $2 ball of string and turn it into a crocheted lace baptismal outfit for a newborn including cap and gown and gloves and booties and a blanket all matching at a quality level you could not buy anywhere at any price. She never sold anything she made but she did donate a lot to the church and senior center fundraisers where all her stuff sold out instantly and in truth was spoken for at top dollar before the doors even opened to the public. She had a talent for crafts.

She also volunteered as the receptionist at the Senior Center for most of the time between when she was 62 and about 76.

She died very peacefully while watching TV. She just fell asleep and didn't wake up. She was just a few months shy of 80 years old.
