Graves, go off of Halibut Pt. the big rock pile go straight out to the 30 fathom line start fishing. Big stripers hang out on that line. And so do Dogs. It is no fun when the dogs are there. slight exagerations to make your point here i think.
it's about 3.5 miles from one side to the other. and you know as well as i do most people don't get hassled going between 5 and 10 mph as long as they ain't throwing a huge wake. So I stand by slicks estimate.
yes the river is stacked with boats if your trying to fish mid morning on. but not when you should be fishing for striper. im not saying i don't resemble a fruit cake from time to time but i have had very little issues with boats at 0530
he never said how big his boat was but I've never had to wait
I love cruising by everyone even at the highest of tides
i still say head to the other side.
