I've got tomorrow off to pack and make all derby preparations, leaving only Friday and Saturday to work before I head to the ferry. So there I am today, with 25 stops left on my route, when I notice the truck parked in front of my next stop has lights on. The mailbox is next to the road, but I went to the door so I could tell the guy his lights were on. I know there's a dog there, and I hear him barking, when one of the kids opens the door and struggles to keep the dog behind him. He thinks I am just there to deliver the mail so he sticks his hand out, and like a dumbass I go to hand him the mail when the dog pushes past him and puts holes in both sides of the knuckle of my casting finger. Of course then I ripped my hand away, to make the wound as big as I possibly could.

Blood flying everywhere, kid runs in to get his dad, I call the PM and she comes and takes me to the hospital. They cleaned me up, gave me a tetanus shot and a scrip for anti-b's and I reported that it didn't hurt at all. 2 hours later and I can't do a F@#$$#* thing with that finger. Hurts to type, can't stick my hand in my pocket, I can barely click the left mouse button...anyone got any quick tips for casting with my middle finger?
