I've lived in Dorchester for 40 years and you might call me paranoid, but I know that I have many predators for neighbors, who watch everything that people do, waiting for people to slip up, even for 10 minutes so they can swoop in for a quick in and out. I'm sorry for your loss, I hope you get your stuff back, but I'd be thinking hard about who would have seen me pack up.

It's more likely that they were taking the Jeep and it was just bad luck that the gear was in it. If they just wanted the gear, they would have broken in and taken it. I would think that auto theft carries a stiffer sentence than breaking into a car and stealing the contents. In any case, I hope they find the gear and the Jeep and it's all in good shape.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio
