There are a lot of small cookie cutter fish (22"-26") in the Canal. They're picky and seem color sensitive, but they're there. You have to work for them.

We've got half moon tides and the current slows to a crawl the last 2 hours--you'll be dragging tail on the bottom with 2 oz jigs. I would say try eels at this stage of the tide. Or rig a 9" Sluggo or big Hogy on the back of one of PJ Joe's wobbleheads.
