There are meteors every night to varying degrees. When they are known to come from a specific source, like Halley's Comet, they should cluster/peak on a given night (plus or minus a night). I looked out early the morning in question and it was cloudy.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.
