He didn't piss on the picture, his piss splashed on it - huge difference and very misleading to anyone who didn't see it.
I took it as an attempt to make fun of the folks who see something on an Icon or picture of Jesus and think its a miracle or if they think they see an image of the Virgin Mary on an english muffin (or was it a grilled cheese sandwich?).
