No offense, but #1 looks like a stencile. Good, but I always look for originality in the carving. I ALWAYS carve freehand, but that's just me.
(this year I did a cyclop face, which came out pretty good.)

Not positive if it is a stencil or not but I would be surprised if it is. The carver is an extremely talented person that does no sheeit fantastic work (his rubber baits are ugly - kinda puke color
)
