The problem I have Nebe is the way I fish , and bear in mind we are sea fishing , my fingers are too short to reach the centre of the spool to control the tiny indicator nibbles from the 10 lb snapper . The little Pan size are not a problem , you just throw the bait in the water , they eat it ,you wind up , end of story The bigger ones are a different story altogether . As we are in New Zealand , and no Tackle supplier wants to invest in such a relatively small market the Avets do not exist here . I imported a new sx6/3 from a guy in the US . The drag was assembled incorrectly (washers/spacers in the wrong orders) and after one time fishing it never ran smooth . Took it apart and 2 of the spool shaft bearings are stuffed ) . The fellow in Peak Point is (hopefully ) sending me the replacement bits . Its a bugger I hope someone can tell me the difference between the 2 , because reading the specs there does not seem to be a clue . What worries me is that the new model is CHEAPER . The stuff normally gets dearer !! Anyone got either the 301dsv or a 301e to shed light ??
