I'm convinced he didn't think Palin was actually this stupid and that a slow-pitch softball question like that about the very root of American History would give her trouble. It's amazingly obvious she has no clue what is going on. At least he didn't ask her about the current proposal for a treaty by North Koreans.

So, what was stupid about her response? Does everybody have a favorite founder? Is that some kind of prerequisite for intelligence? It seemed that she considerately and politely searched
a few seconds for an answer to an irrelevant, personal question. Is an honest pause to be considered a mark of stupidity?
