ok, not saltwater but I did try some new firetiger color 2 inch wildeyes lures while in Florida recently and the largemouth bass loved em. I don't fish freshwater much but since there was a sizable pond in front of where I was staying I decided to pick up some rubba and give it whirl. The bass loved these things but the smaller fish like the sunfish and blugills kept biting the tails off (since they can't take the whole thing in their small mouths) thus rendering them useless. Now I hooked a number of very sizable largemouths and they kept getting off even after fighting them a while. I am not sure what it is about them but a couple of these fish should not have got off at least if fishing a rubba worm texas style they would not have. Maybe it is the small hook size or the angle of the eye in relation to the hook shaft or a combination there of. Overall they are certainly effective but got to figure out how to keep the fish on. Maybe sharpen the hooks more.

Funny thing about this freshwater pond was it was only dug about four years ago tops and I was catching bass to four pounds with big beer bellys. Fun stuff.

Hope to test some saltwater stuff soon.
