In 1980 when I walked down the blocked off dirt road in 1980 my choice of first lots was next to the river. Half way down the street was the lot I did buy that is a good ten feet above and allready high river bank. So glad we did. TThe river is up over the bank but still several feet below the level of my cellar floor. I graded the lot to slope drastically away from the house. You guys with water have my sincerest simpathies.
