"Hybrids" are a cross between stripers and white bass. They can't reproduce, and their bodies are naturally deeper than stripers of the same size. They always have broken stripes over a good length of their bodies, not just a break here and there.

Those are real stripers that have been piggin' out on gizzard shad or whatever forage are in those Hoosier lakes.
