My advice to guys buying a new suit would be to go the windsurf wetsuit route,,, especially for use in the early spring and fall.
I was tired of wearing the smoothskin top under a regular wetsuit to cut the wind. it worked but it was a little bulky. That top is great for summer months over a farmer john though.
I scoured the earth for the right suit. One that is smooth skin
all over so evaporation cooling is not an issue in the early hours of the morning, cuts the wind, super flexible and velcro ankles,,, Best of all it was not that expensive..
