Everyone is fixated on going fast on the water today...It's time to set some speed limits, esp in bays and inshore waters. Boats with trips and quads to reach ridiculous speeds endanger all on board and other boats nearby...even on open water. I must be an "old guy" I aways go slower at night, even in good vis. (And I still am very uncomfortable running to the canyons at high speeds at night on other peoples boats. (but I doit because I love it out there so much) There is all kind of %$%$%$%$ in the water out there...huge partially submerged timbers, full trees, pallets and junk you could slam into and never see, not to mention sunfish)
I came across the sound the other night and one of the kids said...it took longer getting home tonight...well, that is because it's dark and I can't see a damn thing out there...The good news is your back safe.
IMO this case is not an accident, I think I would pursue manslaughter charges (maybe even murder), not to mention he stole the boat technically. (using something unauthorized is stealing) Take him for all he has and put him in prison for the rest of his life. Buh-Bye!
