I trolled around in my sailboat fro twenty years. You hardly ever get stripers. two reasons , one is you tend to go too fast to maintain good steerage way do to the windage of a sailboat compared to a powerboat. second , as someone mentioned , you acn;'t get in where you'd like to with a keel sticking so far down into the water. what you get is hundreds and hundreds of bluefish. I have troilled up soooo many bluefish from my sailboat that you can't even count them. Its fun and great on a windless day but its not stripers.
