For some it's more important to get a good pic than to release and handle a fish properly. No harm in trying to educate people on how to properly release a fish. Some people just are unaware, some people don't give a ****.

If they still feel the need to mishandle bass after being given the proper info, then there's not much you can do. It's all about respecting the resource.
