I've tried it already---it's a lot thicker than Whiplash of the same # test. 65# SS supposedly has the same diameter as 15# mono---so why doesn't a 300 yard spool fit on a Nautil 7500? In fact, I'd estimate I have barely 200 yards on there, judging by what's left on the spool.

Out casting, I was getting better distance out of my spare spool, which is 30# Fireline, with the same lures and trailers, on the same rod.

I think 65# SS has equivalent diameter to 20-25# mono, not 15.
