I bought those boots a couple of weeks ago because they didn't have the studded version in stock and I needed them for the next day. So far, they've been great. They're very comfortable and light compared to other boots I've owned. I've been fishing an area where the bottom is covered by bowling ball and larger sized rocks and they've had great traction. I took one header, but it was because I jumped off a rock to get to a better area to land a fish and misjudged the landing area. If you're fishing the canal, I'd recommend Korkers with the boots. You don't want to take any chances there.
