I agree with you ecduzitgood. Back in the day of smaller towns (and probably still today), everyone knew everyone else's business. There was accountability - today, there is none.

Obvious drug deals going on down the street - is that none of your business?
A neighbor that you overhear beating his son merciless every night - is that none of your business?
People driving down the breakdown lane while you legally sit in massive amounts of traffic - is that none of your business?
The family down the shoreline that keeps every 20" fish they bring in - is that none of your business?

I'd bet that many of the people here that think it was none of your business, would call the EPs on people keeping short fish. Complacency, laziness, a lack of consideration and an expectation for entitlement are turning this country into a bunch of litigious, fat-assed whimps.

Btw, it pisses me off when idiots are fishing within the canal. I see some charter guys doing it all the time on the East end, probably because they feel *entitled* to. They'll pull right in front of you and fish. I yell out once for them to move on and then I continue casting my jig just as I was before they pulled in front of me. If they're entitled to illegally fish within the canal, I'm entitled to continue casting in the area I'd been standing in for 4 hours.
