One of the big problems with wind vs nuclear/coal is that when a traditional energy plant goes down, they pay hefty fines (when its not scheduled) . The traditional energy companies are crying foul with all the breaks that wind energy gets. Lets just say, its not windy today, no problem, we'll go rely on the nuclear plant. Its creating an argument in the long run.
I have to say, the whole wind thing reaks of payoffs.
Not that I'm against wind. There has to be a way to get off fossil fuels.
We just need to iron out the logistics.
