Search for a new front basket resulted in some carpentry
I had a handle bar basket that just wasn't cutting the weight and size of my bag. So I settled on the Wald 139 which was big enough to carry my bag and had forks down the the front axle ($12.5 new at Amazon). In my search I did notice that Wald sold a 139 Woody, but for $50, it wasn't going to happen. So I made my own. Balanced off the look with a little flare on the back basket with the leftover. It didn't help after seeing some really cool racks and baskets on vacation this past summer.
