Yup thats the one.
They are tail weighted (I roll lead flashing around a wire) and there's also some lead in front of the hook.
As far as fishing them deep, they sink so I just let them. Retrieve as slow as I can bear with occasional twitch (to confirm contact).
second picture is a few in need of epoxy, first is of few that have caught plenty (mostly small).
