I'm sure they were fine plugs back in the day, but over the years I think the quality may have slipped. I have one that's probably 10 years old and from the get go, the paint looked terrible and the screw eyes for the hooks had to be tightened after being used. I can't even figure out how they would become loose from normal fishing. As you know, there are some really great needlefish plugs being made today.
