The themometer you need will have a clip for the side of the pot. One other thing, after taking it out remember that the bird will have oil that is ripping hot inside and trapped in little crevices. Find a good place to drain it and let it rest before putting it on a serving platter. Be ready for the juiciest turkey you have ever had.
