I'm not condoning it, then or now. There is that uncomfortable lineage back to the original incident...... But I believe that it is much like the steroids in MLB and the NFL; if you don't think they were all doing it to get that competetive advantage and keep up with the rest of the league or players, you are naive. Mangini didn't blow the whistle on that one until he needed to wound his former bosses more deeply than he could have by continuing his own taping. But he didn't come forward when he was the beneficiary... I do believe it was done league wide with a wink wink, don't tell, we're the NFL mentality. You want to compete, you did it. Now it is a rally call for all the BB haters. They hate losing to him. A lot.
But I fail to see how that strengthens your case for Cassel being a better choice for qb than Brady.....
