My sister would have been a Sr. during Geno's first year so your daughter wouldn't know her name. She was all state 1st. team Jr. year in HS, went to Greece over the summer and was in a bus accident where the bus rolled over 3 times. Had crappy surgery and the knee kept giving out. Made 1st. team all state again Sr. year. Had full offers at places like Southern Ct, Sacred Heart and went to UConn. Quit after Fr. year. Bad knees and too many lesbians on the team.
The story isn't as good now that I had to expand on in. 
To me they are different streaks and both remarkable in their own right. One thing that impressed me was the UCLA players who to a man praised the accomplishment - unlike the Dolphin players who get together and celebrate every time a team loses who they think will go undefeated. |
