I've found that through my years of teaching marksmanship that most shots that are hitting target left or right on a properly sighted in weapon is usually due to jerking the trigger or curling your finger around the trigger and a 10# pull is a little excessive and can lead to some bad habits like jerking the trigger.

I'm not saying this is what's happening in your case but besides adjusting the trigger pull# you may also wish to try adjusting on the way you squeeze the trigger.

I will admit when I used to shoot AR15/M16 competatively,once I switched out the stock trigger with a Krieger match trigger my scores improved dramatically.
