I'm with you on the moderation. My son gets very limited time on either the video games or the tv, and he can choose one or the other. He'd rather be playing outside most of the time, but during the winter there's not as much for him to do. I never was really into video games as a kid, but my wife bought me the PS2 when my son was born since she figured I wouldn't be getting much sleep and would need something to do. I never really played much, though because I was reading a lot instead. I have to admit that I like playing the Wii with my son now, though.
