May want to try the little Fiskars kids scissors, they are a couple of bucks and cut Spectron pretty well. Nice rounded ends that won't drill holes in all your bags or waders. I use them when I'm at the house, but would be drawn and quartered if for some reason each kid didn't have a pair.
