I really got to likin bucktails last season..never used them much before that....shame on me!
though I am no expert on them I have found keeping whatever retrieve you are using...keep using it all the way in...that means three feet from you! I had quite a few fish take it "right there" ...you know just before your ready to pull it out of the water!!!
and then watch out cuz they'll run like hell with it!
