You caught my mispelling jibe (by the way, there is no h at the end). Sure she has something to do with setting the quota...she oversees the scientists.
There is a saying, "Figures don't lie--but liars figure." I don't buy the commercial interest argument but I also don't believe the data has validity or accuracy. I do believe they are trying their best to use data to drive decisions...however I'm not sure if their best is good enough for the fishery...only time can answer that. Until then trust (and vocalized input) will have to do for me.
