what I have done in the past, is use a tail grommet, drill a slight recess or counter bore for it to sit in then drill out the center of the tail grommet to suit the diameter of the wire... a thin SS washer would suit the purpose, but for me, and the few that I did, the modified tail grommet worked well...

A good run is better than a bad stand!
