A tetanus shoot or tetanus booster shot (if you've had the original tetanus shot) will prevent getting Tetanus, or as it's more commonly called, Lockjaw.
This is often a fatal infection; for about $15.00 or $20.00you can get the booster.
However, it won't prevent infection from other kinds of bacteria.
