Four of us - Crazy Alberto, Surfpirate, Hans and myself fished with Captain Bob Rocchetta out of Orient Point, New York on Monday morning. Two fish in the 40 lb-ish range, a 30 ish, and the smallest one (caught be me of course) was 25 ish. A nice pick of fluke and other bottom dwellers too. We fished a fairly narrow window for large (1 hour!) - outside of which the tides were humping too hard to nail quantity. This was QUALITY trip.

Bob is the former IGFA world record holder for the striped bass. He is in my opinion one of the best striped bass charter captains I have fished with - skunk is not in his vocabulary.

Orient Point, NY is on the North Fork of Long Island and is only a one hour ferry ride from New London, Connecticut. Bob's beautiful new boat is literally within walking distance of the ferry.

I am not at liberty to disclose exact locations or methods employed (but you can guess the general vicinity). Captain Bob would filet me if I peeped a single word.
