A couple of things i notice with an increase in traffic down there. One is the obvious increase in litter. Annoying but to be expected. The worst is used toilet paper being blown all over the place. If i was a homeowner along the water i would be raising a stink with the ACOE and the selectmen/town officials.

The other thing that i notice is the lack of etiquette that comes a long with a crowd that has people new to the canal that didnt get a chance to pull their heads outta their asses at 5AM. Today took the cake. Two guys in waders in a place that you dont need waders (99% of the canal...) they set up shop about 10 feet from two guys. 10 feet to the side and 15' in front of them, down stream. The isnt Montauk guys. I keep to myself when fishing most of the time and pretty much avoid confrontation. But they would have never gotten to their rocks if i was near them. Common sense goes a long way. Canal rant for the day is over, carry on.

Everything is better on the rocks.
