You're letter says it all.If we all hit'em with letters and emails and speak out at public meetings we might be heard.
Unfortunately most non fisherman think its a great idea.To them "its just a liscense,stop your crying!,Its for the kids,they'll have better schools."(Teachers need another pay hike..Or Strike!!!)
To tax one segment of the population to shore up another for its shortcomings is apalling to say the least.Its borderline communism in my book.
They'll have to pry my pole from cold dead hands before I submit!!!!!!
