I'm in the same boat; I fish 1/year for 3 days in Maine at my wifes family's camp.
Smallies and LMB.

4" black or pumpkinseed senko. rigged weedless w/ no weight.
cast and let sink. when your line starts to move set the hook. (Thanks to John "Goosefish" Lee for setting me up w/ this rig.....

I outfished the locals 5x1 the last few years and thats all I bring!
