I know a fair amount about Corvids (crows and ravens) behavoir
and if they are the ones eating plover eggs then the biggest deterent to prevent them from doing just that....is the presense
of humans on the beaches at all hours.. This would also apply to other predators such as coyotes and foxes and the occasional racoon and weasel but
not rats. So by banning fishermen from the beaches they have increased predation.... not the reverse.
