Let's say, best case scenario, he decided to throw in with TS before he caught the record. It still sets a bad precedent. This isn't pro sports, where teams can trade up to a trade deadline. It allows for a team that's lagging in the standings to actively recruit. If someone can be unaffiliated and join a team in mid-tournament, what's to stop someone from switching teams? Or other teams from raiding other rosters for the last big push?

I agree - our instance was when someone went from unaffiliated to Team S-B - not switching teams. And those instances happened very early on in the tourney. |
