The exec director of the Manhattan JCC helped with the planning (what they helped plan is mostly irrelevant) of the Islamic center. Hell, she even went on national TV several times with Daisy Khan to defend the intent and founders. This is a fact...
I'm not sure why any Jewish person, let alone a rabbi with some prominence would associate themselves, or why the JCC would even let them associate their organization with efforts to further hate against Jews.
Unless.........it's all a big propaganda effort to use 9/11 to further hate against Muslims.
