I think you need the centerline of the plugs to be parallel with the axis the dryer spins on.
BTW , in my rod curing boxes I use a string of Christmas lights rather than a single bulb. Do to the long length of the rods , I must either distribute the heat source(s) or use a fan and fans are bad around wet epoxy. If your plug curing box is short it might not matter but if you make a longer one , the smaller lights in a string work nicely. I aim for about 90 degrees F inside. Not too hot but enough to insure overnight curing.
