3 jams in 3 years. The quality of what you put in it makes a big difference. You don't put crap gas in your car or it don't run. Don't put crap pellets into your stove and it don't jam. I have a ups that runs it for up to 1 hour...also generator backup....pellets are $250 a ton yes but there's no creosote to deal with, they're completely renewable energy and burn the cleanest of all fuels out there when properly setup. No chainsaw involved, no splitting, just load a 40lb bag twice a day in the hopper. Done. Less mess, less sawdust, less soot... stove gets shut down every 3 days for vacuuming out the ash. Down for 1/2 hour tops, clean the glass and restart. Other than that it runs non stop November-March/April 24 hours a day.
