C-Town B-way yesterday.

I guess a small bout tried to head out on the dropping tide. It didnt work out too well. Smacked the wave and came down motor first, swamped the boat. It flipped over about a half hour later. The four were floating around with their pfd's on. It looked like a man and three younger people. Two of which looked like kids. The coast guard got there about 45 minutes after it happened. The boat couldnt have been much more than 16-17'. I hope the captain of the boat was given a breathalyzer by the CG, and beaten all the way back to Point Judith even if he wasn't drinking. If he would have tried it a half hour earlier on the incoming he would have been fine, a kayak went out. There was one boat in the vicinity that was going back and forth out there. Looked to be about 40' long or so, aluminum, i thought it was a CG vessel. After the CG cam hauling arse to the scene the other boat came close. It was a NOAA boat, apparently with its radio off.

Everything is better on the rocks.
