You guys check out some deals on Liftopia? Heading up to Stratton in January for $34 lift ticket. Coworker has a house up there so knows the mountain really well. Can't wait for the snow. Been out west once and spent 9 days at Vail and stayed in the back bowls the whole time. Would love to get back out west someday. Just have to wait for the kiddies to get a little bigger.
Favorite East mountains are Sugarloaf and Stowe. Used to do yearly trips to the Loaf prior to the kids. Had some great times up there and luckily the snowfields were open. I remember the coldest day on the mountain at the Loaf. -17 below at the condos. I remember riding up on the lift from the condo to the base and getting an ice cream headache. Even with my helmet and my hat, the temperature was unbelievable. Don't know what the wind chill was but just did one run and headed straight to the hot tub.
I ride a Lib Tech TRS 162.5 with Burton C60 bindings and Salomon F22 boots. Also have a Rossi 167 Levitation for those big powder days.
