I had the same thing with my maytag duet washer. Except mine was a quarter, dime and a marble. Ruined the pump. I couldn't believe how much I had to take it apart to get to it. Cement counterweights explain why the thing was a nightmare carrying it down the stairs. But at least it worked again. And of course the boy got a good " clean your damn pockets out before putting your stuff in the laundry" speech. Hasn't happened again since then.
